Chapter 3 Some Stuff

So Juan is doing pretty well. He seems to enjoy being back home a lot still, and he's been getting to work with his dad. Life has been pretty easy. I am doing horrifically, but what's new?

Also, I may or may not have FINALLY signed (us) up for a PKD Walk!

So far it's just us, the coordinator and her husband going and none of us had raised any money at all lol.

I also finally got some pictures of the babies/strays at the gas station:
This is Julius (like orange julius) and Emmie

Tigger joined in too!

I feel unspeakably alien and misplaced around people. Anyone. And I have a difficult time building relationships with them. So I'm lonely that way. I miss having a furry friend, but these kitties are an okay substitute. I went to feed Julius the other day, and some other guy had cat food for him! I figure that would be a cool way to meet a guy haha.

Anyway, I forgot to share these pics from our journey down here:

A rock from Colorado(?), and real, fresh cotton from Texas. Nothing from No Mexico, obviously.

Lessons from Louisiana.

#1 pro tip to tourists and newbies is not to be fooled by the name: Po' boy sandwich. These things are HUGE and EXPENSIVE. They make you a po' boy after buying them!

Still FULL after eating so much shrimp!!!

Pro tip #2? NEVER get the spicy chicken sandwich from Popeyes. You will become addicted 😍😍😍
 Spicy heaven on a bun

Pro tip #3: Take advantage of them gas prices! When is the last time you filled yor tank for $16?
Also, you better love it being overcast

Pro tip #4: Don't turn on the radio unless you love 90's-000s rap and R&B. That's all that's ever on. And "you don't gotta like it cuz the hood gone love it."
WARNING: Above song is awesome and definitely includes swears. My favorite part is when he says: yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah-yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah-yeah yeah-yeah yeah.

But no, really, This song is very special to New Orleanians.
